KlinkerTech has been the awarded company to supply the more than 1,000 square meters of ceramic surface covering the new wave pool of the Amaya sports complex. The installation promises to be the sensation of this summer and will delight Amaya users, who last year were able to enjoy a preview of this project with the installation of the giant bubble.

The ceramic cladding at the bottom of the pool glass is made up of blue-colored 12 × 24 cm slabs, while the wall cladding has an glazed finish in the same color and pattern as the floor.

The crowning system chosen for this pool, known as the “L” pools, has been the Finnish overflow system whose edge piece adapts perfectly to the inclination of the structure. It also has a number of advantages such as: fixing the grid, avoiding a joint and its feet are specially designed to facilitate the application of the glue in the installation.

In addition to the Finnish edge for overflow pools, this project includes other special ceramic pieces such as curved angles, half-round, curved angle interior and exterior corners, grate support pieces and scratched bases accompanying the edge.

The project is included in the reform plan that is being undertaken in the Amaya Sports City on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the facilities.
