The project was carried out on the indoor swimming pool at the Infinity Swim Academy in Newry, Northern Ireland.
The Wiesbaden edge system was chosen for this overflow swimming pool. This system consists of two multipurpose pieces. The porcelain channel piece ready for installation and glazed in a variety of colours makes installation easy by shortening the time required. The channel comes ready to install but must be accompanied by the special piece that is attached to the channel to act as the Wiesbaden ‘overflow’.
In this case, a 2.5 cm high plastic grille was used to create a stepped overflow system. If a 3.5 cm grille had been used, it would have been a ‘water’s-edge’ overflow system.
This swimming pool coping system is a comprehensive ceramic solution thanks to our grille made from porcelain white body. Furthermore, our ceramic grille offers the ideal solution for round or curved swimming pools.
The pool interior was lined with 24.5×49.5 cm blue base tiles alongside others in an Acero colour that were used to mark the lanes and others in Cobalto to mark the depth.
