Within the framework of the programming of Madrid Diseña 26, itegrated in Madrid Design Festival 2026Gresmanc Group held the conference in its Madrid showrooma “Paisajes Cerámicos”,taught by Camila Aybar, co-founder of the studio Aybar Mateos Arquitectos.
The session addressed various projects utilizing diverse materials, notably the "Ceramic Landscape" project—part of the renovation of the former Hospital del Carmen in Ciudad Real. In this intervention, ceramic emerged as a strategic, 100% sustainable material; it incorporates recycled content into its manufacturing process and aligns with a zero-waste production model, combining heritage, sustainability, and contemporary design within a single construction system.

Aybar Mateos Arquitectos is a firm recognized for its rigorous approach to context and for a practice that integrates material research, heritage, and contemporary architecture. Camila Aybar’s career is characterized by a critical and sensitive perspective on interventions in historical settings, where each project is understood as an additional layer within an evolving architectural narrative.
